Our Core Values are the underlying principles of our ministry that represents the New Way International Fellowship’s highest priorities and the fundamental driving force behind our ministry.

Our core values support our vision, shapes our culture and reflects what we as a church values.

Basically we have Nine Core Values: 

  1. Grace –We believe in extending the same grace we have received from God towards others.
  2. Empowerment– We believe in empowering people to be who God wants them to be.
  3. Integrity – As people grow in the knowledge of the Kingdom of God, integrity and righteousness is never an option but a lifestyle.
  4. Giving – We believe in worshipping God by giving our time, talents and finances.
  5. Small Groups – We believe that people grow well in small cell groups through interactions, fellowships and sharing of ideas and convictions.
  6. People – We will value people equally despite of gender, age and status or positions.
  7. Leadership – We believe in developing leaders who will then influence their communities.
  8. Principles of the Kingdom of God – We value the principles and the messages of the Kingdom of God.
  9. Influence and Gifts – We are committed to developing and empowering people so that they can influence others in their spheres.

We believe in using their spiritual gifts in influencing and serving the needs in our communities.

A GLIMPSE OF NEW WAY

The New Way International Fellowship was birthed through a firm faith in GOD and His Words and established exclusively for the services of our LORD as His healing hands reaching out to the world – the lost, the hurts, the wounded, the confused, the depressed, the sick and the needy and help them experience God’s Love through a personal relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST, to grow in the faith in Him and in testimony of His salvation, healing, deliverance and life in abundance.

Through God’s revelation to the Founder, Rev Josaia Tokea, during the great global COVID-19 pandemic, the Lord thrusted into Him the faith to believe in God’s promise of protection and healing and to reach out to all people of life victimized through the impositions, restrictions and limitations of the pandemic imposed on the church.

Growth Of The Church.

Having asked to leave and vacate his last senior pastoralship under his former church due to his conviction, Rev Tokea sought the LORD and with a daring faith stepped out into the murky waters of the pandemic to be later joined and supported by friends who embraced his heart-beat and vision. From then, the LORD has been his only treasured possession and lone companion, confidant and guide.

The NEW WAY INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP now exist internationally with branches in the United Kingdom, UAE, Pakistan, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, United States, Canada and Solomon Islands, with local churches in all the four divisions of Fiji.

OUR TENETS OF FAITH

                           (What We Believe in.)

Our Tenets of Faith, sometimes referred to as ‘Statement of Faith’ is enshrined in our Constitution. It is intended to be the basis of our fellowship and that the New Way International Fellowship and her affiliations speak the same thing.

We don’t claim it to be inspired nor that it contains all Biblical truths but to simply set forth the truths we hold to be essential for a full gospel ministry and also cover our needs.

Tenet 1

THE SCRIPTURE IS INSPIRED BY GOD

  • We believe that the Holy Scripture is inspired by God.
  • We believe that the Holy Scripture is the revelation of God to mankind and that it is infallible and authoritative as our rule of faith and conduct.

Tenet 2

THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE GOD

  • We believe there is only One True God.
  • We believe that He is self-existent and that He is both, the Creator and Redeemer of mankind.
  • We believe that He exists and reveals Himself in the person of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Tenet 3

THE DEITY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

  • We believe in the Deity of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that He is the Eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
  • We believe in His Ministry and His Mission. – that He lived a sinless life, died a substitutionary death on the cross, buried and on the third day resurrected and ascended to God the Father where He now sits at the right hand side of His Father.

Tenet 4

THE FALL OF MAN

  • We believe that man was created good in the likeness and image of God and of His own volition sinned and died a spiritual death.

Tenet 5

THE SALVATION OF MAN

  • We believe that man can only be saved through the redemptive work of Christ by the shedding of His blood.
  • We believe that salvation is received through repentance from sin towards God and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tenet 6

THE ORDINANCE OF THE CHURCH

  • We believe in the ordinance of the church namely; Baptism by Immersion and the Celebration of the Holy Communion.
  • We believe that all who repented of their sin towards God and Christ must be baptized by immersion.
  • We believe that the Holy Communion is a memorial and celebration of Christ’s death and His eminent return for His Church.
  • We believe that children must only be dedicated to the Lord instead of infant baptism.
  • We believe that marriage is for life and is between a man and a woman.

Tenet 7

THE BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, a normal experience of all in the early Christian Church.
  • We believe that with the Baptism in the Holy Spirit comes the endowment of power for life and services, the bestowment of the gifts and their usage in the work of ministry.
  • We believe that with it comes the experience and the overflowing fullness of the Spirit, the intense consecration to God, the dedication to the work and a more active love for Christ, His Word and for lost souls to be won into the Kingdom of God.

Tenet 8

THE EVIDENCE OF BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

  • We believe that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the initial sign of speaking in other tongues.

Tenet 9

SANCTIFICATION

  • We believe in sanctification as the life of separation, dedication and holiness unto God.
  • We believe that sanctification is realized in a believer by recognizing his identification with Christ, in His death, His resurrection and by offering every faculty of our life continually to the domination of the Holy Spirit.

Tenet 10

THE CHURCH

  • We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ and is the habitation of God and has divine appointment for the fulfilling of His Great Commission.
  • We believe that every believer who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the Fellowship and Church of the First-born.

Tenet 11

THE MINISTRY

  • We believe that a divine and scripturally ordained ministry has been called and provided by God for the three-fold purpose of leading the Church is:
  1. Evangelization of the world;
  2. Worship of God;
  3. Building a Body of saints being perfected in the image of His Son.

Tenet 12

DIVINE HEALING

  • We believe that divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • We believe that deliverance, inner healing and healing of the sick were provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers.

Tenet 13

THE BLESSED HOPE

  • We believe in the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ.
  • We believe that they shall be translated together with those that are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord. This is the imminent return and blessed hope of the Church.

Tenet 14

JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST

  • We believe that upon the resurrection of the dead in Christ they shall be ushered into and before the Judgment Seat of Christ where all believers shall be tried by fire and be determined with rewards for how they have lived their lives whilst on earth.
  • We believe this Judgment Seat of Christ is only for believers.

Tenet 15

THE MILLENIEL REIGN OF CHRIST

  • We believe in the Second Coming which is the visible return of Christ after the rapture and the Judgment Seat of Christ, together with His Saints to reign on earth for one thousand years.
  • We believe that this milleniel reign will bring the salvation of the Nation of Israel and the establishment of universal peace.

Tenet 16

THE FINAL JUDGMENT

  • We believe in the final and eternal judgment of the wicked dead according to their works.
  • We believe that whosoever’s name is not found in the Lamb’s Book of Life, together with the devil and his angels, the beast and false prophets shall be condemned to eternal punishment in the lake of fire of sulphur and brimstone. This is second death.

Tenet 17

THE NEW HEAVEN

  • We believe that according to His promise there is a New heaven and a New Earth where the righteousness in Christ dwells.
